11. November 2023 - 1. May 2024: Jerre Hakse

Retrospective - Neoexpressionistic Paintings from 1969-2014

Jerre Hakse (86) is a Dutch artist who, in over 60 years, has created a fascinating oeuvre that is second to none: his neo-expressionist paintings are created directly and without detours out of a strong emotionality. The ever-surprising details in his paintings evoke indefinable associations: magnificent vast landscapes, strange biotopes, the colorful underwater world, the unknown world between heaven and earth.
With this retrospective, we now have the unique opportunity to trace the development of the artist Jerre Hakse in more than 100 paintings and to immerse ourselves in his mysteriously magical world of colors and forms.

Current: 29. Juli 2023 - 19. August 2023: Shadi Ganz
In her new works, Shadi Ganz has dealt with the poems of Rainer Maria Rilke, especially in connection with the music of the "Schönherz & Fleer Rilke Project", the most successful German-language poetry project (https://www.schoenherz-fleer.de).Through active association, a number of abstract paintings have been created in which Shadi has translated music and the associated poems into colors and forms.
Poetry, music and their visual representation through painting thus merge into a total work of art while maintaining abstracting freedom.
